Wedding for £200

Oh yes, perfectly possible to actually get married for less than £200 but that would be all you could do.
This programme seemed to suggest you could have the big fancy wedding for £200 which was just completely untrue. The £1 pom poms were a great idea and looked effective but making elderflower champagne....I live in the green county of Kent and it would take me ages to find enough Elderflower, don't recall seeing any ever...at all...even on my country walks!
Actually there was loads of elderflower in Hampshire... But my parents probably got to it first! They make elderflower champange. Very easy and cheap to do, but it depends soo much on the elderflower crop- this year it was delicious and dry, last year it was soo volatile and sweet. It's not something to chance- my Dad had to wear his chainsawing protective clothes to move the bottles! :rotfl::T0 -

Yeah the pom poms were good! Oh yes how could we forget the banana face mask or the porriage one earlier in the show. Yum. I thought they could have at least bargined with the venue to even throw in a buffet for £1000! I like watching super scrimpers but often unrealistic and much better tips here!0

I agree the venue did look lovely - I had already planned to try the tissue paper flower things so was a bit gutted they'd given my game away! But very irresponsible to recommend using friends for photos and dresses from China with no words of caution - I think with the dresses the VO said something like "quality can vary wildly but you can get a bargain" - that's not really a helpful tip IMO. No advice on where to look or what to look for.
