Probably you need a better broadband connection , what does https://www.speedtest.net say about your speedsSweey_as_a_nut wrote: »I have a new Panasonic tv that I can use to serf the net. Your problem may be buffering issues. Try changing the iPlayer settings to Standard TV rather than HD TV.
From this web page:
My download rate varies between 2,500 to 2,900 kb/s and HD iplayer is just about OKHD or SD? - How do I change settings so that either HD or SD is my default version of a programme?
You can set up High Definition or Standard Definition as the default playback version (when available) in the settings menu of BBC iPlayer.
I'm experiencing buffering issues while watching in HD. What can I do?
You'll have to manually select SD which will allow the programme to continue from the same point using less bandwidth.
What bandwidth is required for HD playback?
HD programmes are streamed at 2800 kb/s. Please check with your ISP if you are experiencing buffering issues and you think you have a fast enough connection.
One word of warning, if you are not on unlimited downloads, one hour of HD iPlayer takes up about 1GB of your monthly download allowance. On BT Option 1, you only get 10GB per month in total!:(

Do a software update on the TV to see if they've upgraded the player. There have been at least a couple of updates this year to the software on most Panny internet connected TVs.0

Thanks all, I have all the updates for my Panasonic tv.
My speed according to talktalks site is. download 1.75 mbps and upload 0.33mbps on my computer ir seems fast.0 -
1.75 mbps is very slow for broadband, it's borderline playable for regular iPlayer streams and too slow for HD content.
You might want to look at an alternative i.e. cable or fibre broadband.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
