Sorry, no idea what authorisation Branch people might have. May be try to get an appointment with the Branch Manager - if he can't help, nobody else in the Branch can.0

Hiya,
I just thought I'd update this thread with some great news.
My husband visited a branch on Tuesday and spoke to an advisor who has been brilliant - they have fully investigated our complaint and responded today agreeing to amend our credit file on the grounds that we haven't been sent any statements/letters regarding the account since 2008 when we paid in £78 to bring the account into credit.
I'm so grateful for the advice on this forum - thank you so much. I didn't expect such a swift resolution, and can't fault the advisor at Halifax for his assistance.
