Ashley Park debt management any opinions?

Hi i have been dealing with Ashley Park debt management on the phone tonight.

I am very keen to take them up on their services.

I am aware that they charge 17% for their services and i am happy with this cost.

However i would like to know if anyone has had positive dealings with them at all? I cant find much on the internet other than people suggesting that others simply do it for free but as a mother of 2 young children and with major health problems myself i do not have the time to take on the stress of debt management myself.

The amount they were quoting me is more than reasonable in the situation i am in.

Anyone anything good to say?

Sorry, but you are throwing money away. Contact Payplan or CCCS who will do exactly the same for free - this means you will pay off your debt more quickly. They will provide exactly the same service but the 17.5% will go to your creditors and not to the debt managment company.

Sorry to add to the bad news here but you should know the following:
1. They often front load the fees - meaning it could be months before any payment is made off your debt. If you change your mind in 3 months time you could have wasted a LOT of money.
2. Even when they start paying against your debt they often carry many months payments "in hand". I have read of people who find that a debt management company that goes bankrupt have not paid anything off - even after a couple of years.
3. Their lack of internet presence is a bad sign. If they were a large, reputable company they would be at the top of the page on Google.

I would STRONGLY recommend that you give CCCS or National Debtline a call. They will provide the same service for free so all of your payments go towards your debts.
