Albany Assistance keep calling me re insurance allowance?

Albany have been calling me on and off re a no fault accident for over 2 months stating that some money 3000k has been out aside by third party insurance co for an accident i had over a year ago now ( 1500 for me 1500 for my daughter). They state this is because of a new government blah blah and i just have to complete an over the telephone data protection questionnaire and they will send some paperwork to me which I can then sign and they will start to claim the money.

Now call me suspicious if you wish but this doesn't seem right or legit but just too good to be true !
Has anyone else had any experience of this and what was the outcome or have any MSE advisors any advice they can offer me?? I don't want to pass it up if it's true and has no other implications etc etc but am very sus!

Thanks
Tink0810

Its a scam, they did this to me, rang me 5 times, it finally got through to them that I wasn't even in the car at the time.

    Tell them politely no Thanks.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Its a random text or call and teh chances are a lot of people have had some sort of accident of the last couple years.

Or if they have your name then somewhere along the line your names been passed to them from the insurance or garage.

Ive had random texts saying i have £3000 or £5000 waiting for me to claim.
I have not even had an accident.

  • It's a fake company that buy and sell your details...the actual Albany assistance don't cold call and get their work directly from the insurer

however they are not much better

Yeah you saying that, I think its illegal for the companies to tout for business.

But seme unrelated company, Possibly run by granny does the cold calling and sells the info to the genuine company.

All above board then. Well almost.
