Signing on 'changes'?

Hi guys,
I signed on today and was told that I have a 15min appointment next week to discuss changes to how I sign on. The two people before me were told the same. Just wondering what 'changes' actually means, as my adviser didn't really explain. Anyone else been told this? x

How long have you been signing on for?
Some JSA claimants are made to sign on weekly, rather than fortnightly, but perhaps its another change they wish to discuss with you.0 -
Around a year, although I got switched onto another benefit when I did my work placement then back on to JSA. x0

After a year of claiming and job seeking and not getting a job, perhaps its a good time to re-look at your strategy?
Perhaps thats what it is, go along and see what they have to say.
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
Maybe, although everyone else seemed to be getting told the same thing. x0

My Son has had changes made to his signing on he is 25 years of age no family, living at home, he now does not go into the office on a certain day at a certain time, what he has to do now is write his name address and nat ins no, on a sheet of paper, write down how many jobs he has applied for since he last signed, sign the piece of paper and put it in the post box. It is flaming stupid!!!!!0

I'm already on the work programme, I asked to go on it as I thought it might help me find work. I'm nearly 21 so maybe they will be making me do what your son does gayleanne - that would save me a fiver in bus fairs, but i really dunno what they are gonna do. My face must have dropped when she told me because she said straight away 'don't worry we won't be stopping your money as long as you comply' lol. x0

Are you in London and do you have any employment experience? There's a new pilot.
"Any 18-24-year-old who hasn’t done at least six months in the world of work will not be allowed any benefit unless they do 12 weeks of full-time voluntary work."

I live in Hull, and I worked as a secretary when I was 17-20 before the company went bust. I have already done a work placement which lasted 3 months. x0
