I need an electrician to come and have a look at a light that isn't working properly. Basically it was bare wire when we moved in, and when DH tried to attach a pendant light, it either stayed on, or wouldn't come on at all, so he is doing something wrong or the wiring needs sorting out. Is there a website I can go to and ask people to quote for having a look?

How over complicated is that? Just ring up a local electrician or get recommendations from friends or colleagues and get him to come round. Shouldn't cost more than £50.
