Vehicle Written Off But Not My Fault

Hi Everyone
My work van was written off a few months ago after being hit by an unknown vehicle while parked up in the street where I live. Unfortunatley there were no witnesses and the police were unable to come up with anything. My insurance firm The Post Office acted quickly and I had a replacement vehicle within a few weeks.
My insurance is due to be renewed in November and I am now wondering how much I should expect it to rise by. I had 6 years of No Claims previous to this incident and also had to pay the excess myself as there was no other party to claim from. Will this incident be classed as my fault even though it wasn't ?
Thanks for your help in advance

"Fault" by insurer definition is purely on the basis of if they have a net outlay or not. On the basis they have paid out for your vehicle with no one to recover their money from it will be considered a "fault" claim.
How much it will impact you will partially depend on if you have Protected NCD or not as you'll drop to 3 years if it wasnt.
You can do mock quotes online to see the differences or possibly ask the post office0 -

Thanks guys that is pretty much what I expected, for the amount of damage done I think the culprit may of been something bigger than a car.0
