Do i have to include partners income if i apply for a DRO?

Hi, i hope someone can help and this question hasn't been asked a lot already as i cant find the answer!

After looking online and completing some question air things it looks as though a DRO is an option for me in my current financial situation, however i have in the last week moved in with my boyfriend and i am wondering if i would now need to include his income if i were to proceed with a DRO, He pays more towards the household than me as he earns more but even with that help i alone fall under the £50 disposable income, jointly we have around £114.

All debts are mine and i obtained them years ago, clearing a pittance off with minimum monthly payments and living off them when i have credit available :(

Thanks in advance for your help

Some will tell you to include it, some will say leave it out.

I'd personally leave it out as the debts are YOURS and the figures are based on YOUR income..

We've been told explicitly that only the applicant's income is to be included. Now that's easy to say but often difficult to work out in practice.

As the DRO guidance doesn't prescribe a method, that gives the Intermediary some flexibility. As long as the process is logical, it seems to be accepted.

Can't really say any more than that without actual figures. Are you going with CCCS?
  • Thank you both so much for your replies..
Yes I will be going with CCCS as I did the debt relief question answer thing and I got a DRO as a digested route for me. I hadn't heard of them prior to that.
  • * sugested not digested!
  • I have just been accepted for a DRO and i didnt have to disclose my partners income, the only time he was mentioned was on my budget for bills because he pays them and i pay some towards it.

The debts are all mine aswell.
