Rejected for a credit card

I have applied endlessly to companies to get a credit card but they all seem to reject me without a valid reason?

I've applied through both my banks and through other companies and it's only ever for a small amount! I have recently finished uni so have that debt, and I am around £1000 into my overdraft, but I make regular payments to that as well as have a standing order (rent) and direct debits set up (four to be exact).

Can anyone else make sense of this?

Well. you've not left us many clues to go on, but living in your overdraft is a good suspect for why you're rejected.

Other factors will be electoral roll, income, other debts, previous credit history, outgoings, etc.

Any other debts, whats your income, are you a homeowner?

Not given us much to go on.

Have you seen your recent credit report?
  • making alot of applications in a short space of time can have an effect, it would like like you are borrowing above your means.

If I noticed you were endlessly applying for credit cards whilst using £1000 of an overdraft, I'd reject you as well. Its called responsible lending, and you are showing signs of being desperate, and no signs of being able to repay any of it.
