ignore your headline figures, they are unimportant really- check your expanded dashboard:
basically go into yourselling page and there are tabs above the items listed- one of which is'account' , hover your mouse over it and click 'seller dashboard'
That takes you to your main dashboard and you can see the overall number of 1and 2 * left in each category. Ideally you want that number to be very very low.
If you click on the link by performance standards you can see percentages, click on 12 month trending on that page and you can see all the stars beingleft in each category.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. How many lows and percentage in each category?
It depends on how bad it is as to whether you can recover this at all- there would have been warnings previously and the dashboard should be checked frequently as that is the time to try and recover, not once you are already restricted.
If you can't recover this then that is the end of your selling on ebay as you can;t open any other account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Should this read 4.8, 4.7, 4.6 and 4.6? If so, 4.6 is definitely in troubled territory.well i got email today to say my account has been restricted dew to seller dash board ratings which are 9.8,9.7,9.6 and 9.6 i have a 100percent feed back and no negs"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Given your headline figures I would expect there to be problems in your dashboard. It's a bit late now - you needed to have watched things properly and the moment you dipped below high ratings gone straight to the dashboard and had a look.
eBay don't tend to respond to pester power on this unless otherwise high ratings have been spoiled by successive low ratings. As your headline figures are mediocre compared to the site average (which is quite high, 4.8-4.9), I would doubt eBay will look on this as such a situation. You will have been disappointing your buyers, prompting some to leave poor ratings compared to the norm (e.g. 3s which don't directly harm the account but tend to reduce your overall scores) and some to leave directly low ratings which is where eBay objectively feel that the seller is letting their buyers down.
I'm afraid it is fair - most of the people here work hard to keep their end up, and get worried when their scores dip. While some idiots out there do mark down by mistake or malicious design, your account suggests you were just poorly performing and not making sure buyers were happy. You will notice if you look at other people's feedback that people normally keep headline figures above 4.8. Not all buyers leave 5s, but most do for normal transactions - so unless you are perpetually shortchanging your customers - and it's their opinion that counts because they're the ones paying - it's actually easy to keep scores relatively high with the odd blip.
eBay's standards are simply too high for you - but other sites are just the same, if not stricter, so unfortunately, you might not succeed elsewhere, either from a lack of buyers or a lack of keeping your end up. eBay will not allow you to register an account, nor I suspect reinstate you, so you will have to find another way to shift your stuff."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Although low it is unlikely to lead to restrictions which means it has to be 1 and 2*, but unless the OP returns we shall never know.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The same thing has happened to me, over my p&p I have 100 percent feedback. Yet 3 people out of 300 have given me bad star rating on my p&p, which in turn has taken my Count up to 2.3, all the other ratings are on 0. Ok, now that's absolutely fine if I was charging extortionate postage. But I'm not, I charge £2.80 for each item, it costs me £2.20 to post and the rest goes towards packing. How is that unfair costs? Ebays answer is lower my charge or free postage, that in turn will put my item price higher, therefore they get a bigger share of the profits. Convienient.
Ebay make there money from the seller, but only protect the buyer, my fees were £100 this month, and that's fine, I'm paying for a service, however it's about time the buyer got some protection from the countless time wasters. At the end of the day if you don't like the postage cost then simply don't buy the item.0 -
I would mark down for that tbh. Maybe not a low score, maybe a 3, but still, that's a big markup. You can get packing materials for much, much less per item - buy padded envelopes in bulk, you can get them for about 15p per unit from eBay sellers. Anything else you can source cheaper if you shop around.
If you have been banned you would have had warnings. Your DSR for P&P might also be lower than the others - you would have needed to have taken note of that a long time ago. What matters is not what you think, but what your buyers think - and it's obvious that buyers don't like excessive padding on top of postage cost. A better thing to do for private sellers where volume is lower and thus bulk packaging buys is not often needed is usually to recycle packing, or find cheap/free sources of packing paper, bubble wrap and so on. Many shops give them away free for the asking. Business sellers, sourcing packaging in bulk, will add a matter of pence on per listing.
The people paying the piper, to quote a well-worn phrase that loads of people forget, call the tune. You need to respond to their opinions, not your own.
If it is literally only 3 low scores for P&P that got you banned, there is no harm in badgering eBay, but you would need, if reinstated, to think more about what your customers want and try and give it to them."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Your final sentence explains exactly why you were in trouble. You fail to understand the difference between people seeing your postage and having to lump it , and those buyers being able to then rate you against other sellers.
We have endless threads on here with sellers saying they can charge what they want for post and packing, you are the proof that a selelr actually needs to be more careful.
OK, back to helping mode- are you restricted or suspended? you must be a very small seller to have been restricted on just 3 low stars, My main private account has 3 stars in one category and I am not even below standard and I sell very little through there really. It might be wroth checking that there really is only 3 as that assumes hardly any sales a month and yet you say your fees are £100 a month
If only restricted then try and turn this around you must go free postage as that is the only star you need to take notice of and you must get that overall negative percentage down. So bung up lots of odds and ends- as much as you can within the restriction, all free postage and try and get in lots of feedback with the automatic 5*, this is probably easier if you are a business as access to cheap stock is easier as you can buy in.
once th epercentage starts to move to your benefit you can take stock of what to sell that gives you a better headline post and packing charge. It often pays to actually undercharge postage to make buyers feel guilty about the stars- so if postage is £2.20 then charge £2 and make them think they have a bargain.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. also, use pyschology when dealing with other users. So for instance if you intend to continue charging a lot for post and packing then rather than round up to £3 for £2.20 postage, drop it to £2.95. It's only 5p (and I'm sure you can shave that from your packaging costs) but it looks better as your brain sees the £2
However, realistically I think unless you use brand new boxes etc that look expensive I wouldn't think you would get away with anything more than a 50-60p mark up without attracting real issues.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
