Business Banking - small scale

I have a business bank account which recieves maybe one or 2 cheques every 3 months. these cheques are typically for £60. I have just been told by Santander that my banking will no longer be free. Seeing as the amount that passes though the account is around £20-30 per month, any amount of bank charges eats into the amount fast. Even the free banking offered by all banks to get new customers is only for a limited time. All I want to do is to be able to accept cheques in my company name. Is there any way to accept the occasional company cheque for free?

HSBC Business Direct
They have no charge for electronic transactions and allow you to pay in 5 cheques per month free.
