I am new to all this and need some help just got this message and unsure how, what to do next:
We have successfully uploaded all of your website files to your web hosting server. The files are located in a sub-directory folder called "temp123" Please note that this website needs to be in the root directory in order for it to work as intended. Since the files are now on your server, you can move them to the root directory at your convenience. We have copied all of the database files over and created a new database called mmbutler_joomla. The database username is: mmbutler_joomla and the password is temp123. Please configure the Joomla configuration.php file or have your web hosting provider configure the file so that the database path matches the root directory once you move the files over to the root directory.
Thanks for your help in advance. Please keep it basic for me as like I said I am new to all of this!
Thanks

If that message is from a developer that has created your Joomla site then I would suggest asking them to move the files to the root directory and setup Joomla to use your database.
Your web host probably has an online file manager which should allow you to move th files out of the temp directory and up to the root. If not then you will need to use an FTP client such as FileZilla.
Joomla needs to know your database server, name, username and password, this is set in /temp123/configuration.php (or /configuration.php if you have moved the files up to the root) so you will need to edit that and insert the credentials. Again, this usually can be done with your web host's file manager, but if not then use FTP to download the file, edit it on your computer (with a text editor such as Notepad), then upload and overwrite it (make a backup first).
If you don't feel confident enough to make the changes yourself, you could try asking your host to do it.
Also when you do get it up and running I would suggest setting a stronger database password because the one you have is very weak. Ask your host to do this.0 -
I am confused about what the developer is asking me to do with this:

There is no database path setting that relates to the site's directory. Databases can be accessed from any directory. In configuration.php you need to set the database server which should be localhost unless otherwise stated by your web host, also set the database name, username and password.0
