    Hi,

I tried this offer through quidco as well, however, in my quidco settings it states that the payment has been declined.

    Can anyone explain?

  • Hi all,

After a few months benefitting from MSE, I thought it'd be about time to respond to this chain. I signed up to Pru Health's policy 6 months ago, and have been enjoying free gym membership since then. It's been great - I'm 25, so my policy is under £20 pm. My OH pays £60+ for her esporta membership, and is currently having issues cancelling her membership. The Pru offer was/is great...

Anyway, why is the Quidco payment being rejected... there is an easy answer. When I first signed up, there were various offers available, and I did mention this when I signed up. The guy on the phone said that I could choose one (and only one) incentive. £100 boots voucher, 6 months free gym membership, or £100 cashback if paid by egg credit card. There was no way of mixing these offers. Now that Quidco is in the game, it's probably just another offer - £125 cashback with them OR 6 months free gym membership. Given that the gym would be effectively £25 pm, that works out at £150 saving. But for someone who wouldn't want to go to a gym, or if there's no gym included in the Pru Health offer, then the cashback via Quidco would be better...

I hope this helps, at least for my first post anyway... Enjoy the Pru Health offer, and rack up the vitality points quickly - I hit platinum after 4 months, and had a basic health test screening for £5. Beat that if you can (but I doubt it's possible!!!)

    The Quidco site states:

"Please read the following before proceeding:

Your PruHealth transaction may initially track in as declined, but its status will update within a few weeks when the merchant has validated your policy.

Please note: Although the vast majority of transactions are tracked successfully, the network currently responsible for this merchant has decided to only pay 50% for any successful enquiries on missing transactions. We have expressed our dissatisfaction to the network and are doing everything we can to improve this situation."

    Hi all,

I've had the same problem ie the quidco cashback from pru health has been declined. I queried this with quidco and have just received a response from them. Looks like things should work out ok!

    in their email...

    Hi Sarah,

This merchant has very recently started initially declining transactions and then changing them to a validated status at a later date when the application has been verified. They do this to ensure that applications for their policies are not made fraudulently for the cashback alone. So if everything is okay with your PruHealth policy, it should update to the correct status within the next few weeks.

    Kind regards,
    Stuart
