few questions on credit cards...

hi all,
few questions im unsure about if anyone could help please...
1. i have used quiet a few cards over the years to buy big purchases (TV, holiday, etc) and set up direct debits to ensure is fully paid in the 0% time limit. i have forgotten which cards i have used so my question is, if i use a card i have used previously will i still be applicable to get the 0% free time?

2. i intend to buy a holiday and again pay off in the 0% time limit, which is the best card at the moment for me to do this (assuming the above question is irrelevant and i can 're-use' any card

thanks!

If you closed them down some time ago, then yes you should be able to re-apply.
If it was very recent then some card companies have time limits e.g. 6 months before you can re-apply, but as you have forgotten it sounds like it's longer.

In my experience MBNA give decent credit limits.

    thanks for that.
if i re-apply online for one ( thinking tesco's to get clubard points too!) would it inform me that i am not applicable for the 0% before i go through all the paperwork etc..... dont want to bother if i cant get the 0%

    thanks

    No.
It would be worth you reading the application criteria first e.g. if a card requires min £50K income and you don't have that then it's up to you not to apply.
If you can't be bothered to do a bit of reading then you risk have extra credit checks on your record.
