Swap from Eon or stay?
Just watched Martin on daybreak, he advised people to switch to EDF Blue.
I am currently on a fixed rate with Eon till April 2013, Eon also have a fixed rate to April 2014.
I have never had a problem with eon, customer service second to none, can't seem to find tarrif prices for EDF blue fixed or Eon fixed so not sure whether to stay with eon fixed or switch to EDF blue?
Anyone any advice or recommendations thanks

The first is very easy, the second has been reported to be harder but I know is not impossible and certainly shouldn't be difficult for an existing customer. Neither is (directly) relevant to the decision.
Use a Consumer Focus accredited comparison website using "average consumption" (3,300kWhrs electric and 16,500kWhrs gas). The headline cost will not be accurate for your consumption but the % saving figure will be accurate unless your consumption is very low.
Prices vary by region so I cannot do the comparison for you but in a region checked at random your current tariff is over 10% more expensive than currently available fixed price tariffs.
Edf Blue +Price Promise April 2014 has a number of advantages over other similarly priced tariffs, specifically a longer fix over two winters and no early termination charges.
Only you can decide whether for your consumption the 10% cost benefits of switching to any price leading tariff is worth the E.ON early termination charge hit. Service satisfaction is something else, again only you can decide.0 -
I don't think the package i have with Eon has a termination charge something i'll have to check on if i decide to change.
Thanks for your help x0
