Flight booking error; can't cancel without huge fees

Apologies if this isn't the right board, I am new to posting on the forum, and have tried searching for a solution but have had no luck.
My mum has been trying to book flights to Portugal and believed she had found a good deal through onthebeach.co.uk; however it was only upon reaching the confirmation page that she realised the return airport was incorrect.
She insists she did not click past the confirmation page but the transaction was processed and the order confirmed by On The Beach through e-mail.
My mum now wants to cancel the booking, but when tries to do so the applicable charge is listed as the full price of the booking.
I've tried some searching on the internet to see if there is any way to waive such a large cancellation fee, but have had no luck.
Perhaps someone here can give some help or advice in any way as how to proceed with this?

She should not be asking to cancel, but to correct a mistake made during the booking process. So long as she contacts them quickly, the fee should be a good deal more reasonable than for cancellation.
Otherwise, so long as the return airport is at least in the correct country she could always use the booking, along with an unplanned train ride.0 -
Thanks, got in touch with them and they're working to try and get it sorted with us.0

I have the same problem and am waiting for them to get back to me - what was the outcome if you don't mind me asking?
