really annoyed with ebay bought a dvd vhs combi player to move my wedding video and several others to dvd this one was described as new never used. when it cam down it had no wires to it and wouldn't recognise discs we decided to go and buy a lens cleaner which cost us £10 but these videos are important to us so we thought it was worth the money. we came back and when we put it in it went to a title page and you needed to move it across to get it working. we didn't get a remote control with it and there was no buttons on the front that we could use so we went and bought a universal controller which was another £14. we (and several members of our family) were unable to get this working so to put it basically the machine is worthless as it cannot be used the seller straight away said that he would refund with original p&p I think it's only fair that he also pays to have it sent back as it is going to cost about £15-£20 as I need to send it back via courier. is there anything I can do as I don't feel that I sould be out of pocket by the £15 -£20 (as well as everything else I have bought) when I didn't make the mistake in the first place. Ebay have just said that I need to send it back to get the refund plus original p&P any advice ?
Make £5 a day in May total so far £2

Yes - find the full stop key on your keyboard? (sorry but it's really hard to read withour 'em - go on, don't be shy)
Have you raised this as a dispute with ebay as item not as described rather than contacting the seller?0 -
Send it back by the cheapest, BUT fully tracked method that you can and leave appropriate feedback.
Other than that there is nothing you can do.
You cannot force them to refund return postage, And threads to leave negative
feedback will allow them to get it removed anyway.
So just mention you were mis-sold this item and think its only fair they refund return postage also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Depending on the value of the item use a courier to send it back check they will cover this piece of equipment and some don't cover photographic items which this may be you will not get back your returns post, so use the courier thread to find a cheap courier it is very hard to read just a small amount of text with no punctuation so please bear this in mind if you expect people to slog through what you have written its hard isn't it and mine is half as long as yours.0
