Hello,
Apologies if the following questions have been asked before.
Basically my brother was a named driver under my car insurance policy. He was involved in an accident last August (non fault claim).
How would this be declared when I am renewing a policy would it be recorded as a claim under my name or my brothers name? or both?
if he is now taking out his own policy how would this work?
Thanks in advance
Kash

Its an incident on your policy. You need to declare it.
If he is taking out hos own insurance he will need to declare it also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

If he remains as a named driver on your policy, then the claim just goes down on his history alone. If/when he is no longer covered by your policy, then the claim goes down against your history.
When he takes oit his own policy he needs to disclose it to his insurer (in addition to the disclosure needed to your insurer)0
