journey time trials on the A1M ?

Anyone know what the journey time trials on the A1M mean? I cant see any cameras or equipment around, and it is on between hours of 7-7.

Not sure if it's the same thing, but there's a trial on the A14, assessing the impact of banning HGV's from overtaking.

if it works then i can see the benefit of it i.e maintains traffic flow. But who is going to ensure that larger vehicles over 7.5te dont stray in the 2nd lane?

Would have been great if they made a rule to ban JCBs, large cranes etc from main A roads on early monday mornings and friday afternoons.
