E.ON Fixed Price April 2014

Hi,
I am currently on E.ON Fixed Price June 2013, with no cancellation fees.
I see that on E.On's main page they now have the 2014 fixed rate available, however upon selecting switch your tarrif online, this option is not available.
Upon looking at price comparison sites the price is not much different to what I am paying now.
I would of thought that E.ON would have liked to lock me in for an additonal year but obviously not.

It is available. I had this problem a couple of weeks ago when my SaveOnline 9 was about to end. Using My Account, the Fixed Price April 2014 wouldn't show as a tariff I could switch to, but if I searched without logging in first it did show up.
I raised this on the phone with them, and they said that there had been a number of problems caused as a result of E.ON updating its website. It looks as though 'top banana' has also been caught with this one.
My advice is to speak to them on the phone. You CAN switch to the Fixed Price April 2014 tariff - I did.0 -
I’m sorry we’re not making it easy for you to switch your plan TB.
IsaCream_Man is right. We’re still working on fixing the problem with switching online but if you’d like to call us, we’ll do a full comparison for you and get you switched over by phone.“Official Company Representative
I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
I switched yesterday to the April 2014 over the phone, no problems. Originally I raised an online query at not being able to select the tariff online and was told I needed to select the "Fix price plans" dropdown to enable it to show when doing a Product switch. There was no such dropdown which is why I phoned them.
However, I was in two minds as my "track and save 2013" plan would have had the price held through 2012. I figured 2013 is now only 4 months away and I wouldn't be surprised to see the fixed 2014 tariff change pretty soon (and the track and save tariff increase in Jan)!0
