Swapping from Eon to EDF - when to request a bill from Eon

Hi folks,

I have just signed up to switch to EDF Blue from my current provider Eon - I was on Eon Fixed Price Saver June 2013, but the EDF plan is far cheaper and lasts nearly a year longer!

I have never changed electricity supplier before (new build apartment) and I'm sure that I read on here a long time ago that you need to request a bill before the change over so that you don't lose out on the discounts. The only discount that I currently get is 6% for direct debit payment, so I'm not sure if I even need to worry about this?

Thanks for your help
Rob
