    I covered the seat pads of mine with denim which was from jeans and skirts from bootsales. Went out of my way to find different shades. Didn't want oilcloth as you get a sweaty bum, and I figured that I could scrub denim ok.

    Hi
    Well according to me then you should colour them with deep walnut shade as they are old and this shade give them an elegant look and should use 100% real leather seat pad.

    DIY is the best techniques to decor your home as you want. If you use your dining chairs on regular bases then the seat pad should be strong and long-lasting.
    According to me you should use 100% real leather seat pad fabric for chairs
