Help with lease/permission from Freeholder to rent

Hello

I am looking at a friends lease to see whether she has to seek permission to rent her flat from the freeholder. I have read through the lease and cannot find anything that refers to this. Would this be something that would not be mentioned in a lease, or is it just that we are missing it? If someone can advise the type of wording to look would appreciate it.

thanks

Either it's not there, in which case renting is not a problem, or you are missing it!

I found this, does this mean you can't rent your property during the last 7 years of said term? By term does that mean the end of the lease?

"Not during the last seven years of the said term to transfer assign underlet or part with possession of the demised premises or any part thereof without the written consent of the Lessor such consent however not be be unreasonably withheld in the case of a respectable and responsible person".

Don't forget to let the freeholder know so that the correct building insurance can be aquired.
