wanting to get a debit card and a mobile contract

Hey
I want to get a debit card/mobile contract/internet contract.
Sadly I have had 2 defaults. One was 66 quid with 02 (paid off last week) and another was 800 with lloyds (paying it off on wednesday)
Now, I am returning to the UK in 1 months time and I want to open the accounts I have stated above!
My debit card will be just a normal one. I do not want a credit card or an overdraft. I plan to open it with Natwest.
I want to know from the experience of you all if I will be able to apply for the above successfully or will I face any difficulties?
I understand that it is the bank/mobile companies choice but just want to hear from you guys if I will face any major difficulties. Atleast this way I can prepare myself for alternatives.
Ty for the help.

you'll find it difficault to get a phone contract i believe... but if i was you i'd write to o2 and get it removed 'cause £66? jesus that isn't worth the missery..
however, Vodafone defaulted me and 2 weeks after the default was handed to me I got a brand new contract out with them...[STRIKE]1/12/16 - £152,599.00 [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]11/11/17 - £145,990.00 [/STRIKE] <> Overpaid £3916.
11/11/18 - £142,074.00

One way around if you have difficulties will be to get a prepaid credit card and regarding a mobile contract may I suggest giffgaff you can buy a £10 goody bag which lasts a month it will give you 250 minutes talk time unlimited internet and unlimited text and you can pay for that with your prepaid credit card. Also you can open a basic bank account which will allow you to pay by direct debit but you get no overdraft facility I hope you will find this information helpful.Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

I think you will have to settle for a basic bank account which will have a debit card.
It is unlikely that you will get a phone contract immediately.
Paying off past bad credit/debt will show on your files as settled but it will take time to work through the systems.0 -
actually I made a minor error.
I have a BBM and want a SIM only contract.
I should hopefully be able to get that? Since I am not actually getting a new phone?
Am I right?0 -
still applies - needs to be credit searched before you take the sim only deal out...
if you won a million pounds and you have defaulted endless times (let's say 5) and you apply for a mortgage on a massive house for £2m you won't get it as you've got so many defaults on there already..[STRIKE]1/12/16 - £152,599.00 [/STRIKE]

You're never going to know unless you give it a go, apply for a normal current account and see if you get it. If not then go for a basic account. You mentioned that you're coming back to the UK so bear in mind that if you've been away for a while (few years?) then you're maybe going to have to wait a couple of months to get any credit.. If you've already got the phone then as someone has already mentioned - giff gaff do pretty reasonable priced monthly deals with no credit check.0

Tesco mobile do not credit check for any SIM only capped tariffs. Hope this helps0

I got my monthly contract mobile phone on the Three network from buymobilephones.net There was no search recorded on my credit file. I got a pretty good deal too. But you need both a debit card and a bank account for the Direct Debit payment and be on the electoral roll. Beware the free three months insurance on the final screen when ordering: If you don't want to pay £5.99 (currently) per month after the free 3 months period, uncheck that option.0

Some mobile phone companies will ask for a security deposit sometimes (O2 for example) there is always that option if you are considering pay monthly as opposed to sim only.0
