Comparison sites don't show my tariff.
I moved house on the 29th of June and informed Southern Electric who were the suppliers for the previous people.Have just received separate estimated bills with 2 different a/c numbers.
I used the links on Moneysavingexpert to go to Simplyswitch and Moneysupermarket but when I try the drop down menu to enter my tariff the box is either empty on Simplswitch or just shows 1 tariff on Moneysupermarket, which I am not on.
The tariffs on the bills are shown as General Saver and Standard.
I just wondered if I am classed as a dual fuel customer with SE or is it early days and the haven't processed it.
Do I need to input the tariffs? Any help would be appreciated.

In general comparison sites have just confused me and added to my problems of deciding if I have the best or a reasonable tariff. They are all too expensive when you are on a limited budget and worrying about paying your rent, council tax and the proposed bedroom tax...not forgetting food prices rising..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. There is no need to enter your present tariff to find the cheapest tariff; just leave it with the default tariffs.
You will need to estimate your annual consumption in kWh. As a guide the UK average is 16,500kWh for gas and 3,300kWh for electricity. In fact unless you have very low consumption, it largely doesn't matter what kWh you enter as there won't be a big difference.0 -
Thanks Cardew.
Do I need to put a tariff in when I switch or would any tariff do?0 -
All the incoming supplier needs to know is the name of the outgoing supplier-the tariff is not relevant to them.
You'd do better to pick your tariff via a comp site and then switch via a cashback site though. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
