AEG Dishwasher needs repair .........i30 code

My dishwasher broke down over a week ago and had the flashing i30 code, meaning the anti flood system has been triggered. Luckily I have insurance cover (as this has happened before and a part needed replacing) but not happy to know I have to wait 9 days for someone to come out. In the past week I have tried it numerous times and the i30 code kept on flashing, however, I tried it this morning and it is working and have had it on twice this morning. Now, I don't know whether to cancel the engineer coming out on Wednesday...but the fault may re appear or will I get charged if he comes out and it's working.

Sorry if this answer is too late for tomorrow. I did spot your post last night but neglected to answer.
Every dishwasher has a tray/reservoir underneath it to catch any leaks. Such are inevitable and usually occur where there is a blockage in the waste pipe particularly if its been used as a waste disposal unit rather than a dishwasher. In that case water will go through the housing where the bottom rotating arm is situated and into the tray underneath.
If that tray is full of water then the anti-flood float switch will have operated to prevent water going everywhere. I normally recommedn beling it out with a sponge but making sure that the power is off first - there are exposed connections under there which could easily give you a shock. Then the machine should operate again once the level has dropped and the float switch returned to its normal position.
What may have hapopened in your case is that this switch has operated due to water but in the intervening period between then and trying it again yesterday morning evaporation has occured, the level has dropped and the switch no longer operates meaning the machine now does.
Be interested to hear some feedback from tomorrow's visit.
