vanquis for rebuilding?

No other lenders on a soft search will give me any card apart from this company.. Simply trying to rebuild my credit file as i've defaulted!
if not, can I apply for another card (APART from capital one and barclays) that'll help me build my file back up?

If you get turned down with vanquis maybe you could try cashplus? that is not a credit card (it is a prepaid card but does help build a better credit file if you NEVER miss any of the monthly payments).0

I got one and I had a very bad credit file (a number of defaults, and two CCJs from a failed business), they won't issue you with one until they've contacted you by phone.
What they will try to do is hard sell you payment protection and a cash advance in that phone call. My advice on this is don't take either! I took the payment protection and it is very hard to get it taken off.
I think as long as you don't have too much of a credit limit and keep to the repayments religiously it will do your credit rating a lot of favours.0
