For all you knowledgable people. Commercial Property ISA have done well in recent years i belive.Would it be the best thing for this/next ISAs for Me & Mrs Greenface to put in £28,000 of cash into ? If not what in your opinion would be the best place to put our £7,000 each. And compare the returns we could expect.
Many thanks.
If you pull it apart please let me know why .

14 years of mostly double digit returns.Would it be the best thing for this/next ISAs for Me & Mrs Greenface to put in £28,000 of cash into ?
No. Eggs all in one basket is rarely a good idea. UK property is on a bubble and if you want to invest all your money in that, then it is a risk. Some of it yes, but not all of it. Property funds have had a poor start to 2007 by recent standards and many are predicting anything from -2% to 8% as being this years returns. They said that last year and turned in double figures but its going to happen sooner or later. If not what in your opinion would be the best place to put our £7,000 each. And compare the returns we could expect.
I will stick to what I always say. Sector allocated portfolio. In other words, a spread of funds across the sectors which average out to match your personal risk profile. That gives you exposure in all areas, matches your risk profile and you dont have to worry about have all your eggs in one basket. Then rebalance it annually.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Never mind how well commercial property has done in the past; what do you think it will do in the future? It's not a direct analogy as residential property is in effect a different asset, but would you buy a house as an investment at today's prices?Would it be the best thing for this/next ISAs for Me & Mrs Greenface to put in £28,000 of cash into ?
