Wanting a puppy!

Hello everyone.
I finally have my own place and I have wanted a puppy for the longest time-a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Driving home from my parents earlier on I saw a sign for a breeder who was selling King charles pups. I texted her to ask if any are still available and 3/6 are available and will be ready to go on 6th September (I am assuming 3 of the puppies are being held by deposit?)
The problem is I have never owned a puppy- I have always had cats as my parents have always worked and never had the chance to look after a dog.
I am self employed and work from home (i'm in my house 90% of the day) so will always be around to look after them...but i'm worried that a breeder will have concerns about selling me a puppy as I have no experience with them what so ever..
I am happy for her to come and look around. I live in a 2 bedroomed flat but there is a park near by for walks so I think this could maybe raise some concerns as well.
What do you think? Or should I just get a kitten?

Breeder who advertises the way you described will have no concerns selling a puppy to anyone.
Please do NOT buy a puppy, any puppy this way.0 -
Have you fully researched the large costs associated? Will you be prepared to take the dog out to the park every hour or so for months on end until they're are fully toilet trained? Have you the time and money to take the puppy for socialisation lessons? Have you done any research on getting a dog at all? I don't think a week is enough time to learn if I'm honest.0

With all due respect, you say you are on JSA on another post today. A puppy is a big commitment on time and finance. Please think twice before putting yourself in this position. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Cavaliers can have some health issues so do need to make sure you find a good breeder which does the appropriate tests on its dogs. It will be worth taking your time to find the right breeder to get your pup and will allow you to get prepared too.
This site cavalierpuppy has some advice on buying a pup.0 -
You are on JSA and I assume a rented flat. Are animals allowed? How are you going to pay for this puppy? How can you afford to feed it ?How can you afford vets fees ?Who takes the puppy when you move on or find it a burden financially and to your social life ?0

Welcome!
Can you can afford ALL the costs of a dog from purchase to vaccinations to neutering to microchip to quality food to unexpected vet care (can run to thousands) to public liability insurance to puppy classes to worming and de-fleaing? Have you researched how much hard work training and toilet training a puppy really is? Are you willing to go to the park each night at 2am because the puppy cannot hold on for eight hours? Why would you get a puppy from a random advert (puppy farm/ backstreet breeder) instead of a personal recommendation or the breed club? Do you know what health conditions cavaliers are prone to and what health screening has been done on the parents and this litter? Does your tenancy agreement or long lease permit you to keep a dog, would it have to go through common parts to get outside? Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
OP - I strongly suggest you read this thread - before you go and buy a pup from someone who advertises this way:
