    It is a negative. Not only have you been morally messed around by the seller, they've openly and willingly broken the eBay rules. No-one would ever judge you badly for it and the seller will need to learn that such behaviour is unacceptable.

    As soon as that money lands back in your account, NEG.

    If the seller then starts sending you begging emails, state the facts clearly once and then ignore anything subsequent (I had this situation a couple of months ago and ended up doing exactly that).

    Has to be a negative because of the inconvenience factor - how much effort is needed to say "sorry its been sold"
  • Hi, I'm not sure what I would do. It's the local thing that bothers me. If I negged one of my neighbours they'd probably pay me a shouting/swearing visit - but I do live in quite a rough area, mind.
    I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:

    In reality, unless OP actually knows them, 'local' wouldn't worry me.

    I don't think most people would bother, and the OP could easily get the police involved if something did happen.
