Lowest Cancelation Fee - Car Insurance

Hi,

I need temporary car insurance for around 2 months. Before, I used Admiral for this trick

Purchased a years insurance in a lump sum, then canceled it 2 weeks later only paying around £1 a day + a cancellation fee of £14.99. However, anything over the 2 week period and the cancellation fee is £47.50.

So my question is, who has the lowest cancellation fee that is currently being offered? I will take out quotes from each company, divide it by the number of days and see if it works out cheaper including the cancellation fee. If not, then I'm just going to go with Admiral/Elephant.

Thank you!

PS: I have checked all temporary car insurance firms, and they have all quoted ludicrous prices.

You realise that if you have a claim during this period, you're liable for the entire annual premium.

Yes I do... So have you ever canceled if so, what was the fee?

And what are you trying to jinx me or something? :D I haven't had an accident in my 15 years on the road.

Work in the industry so cancellation fees don't affect me.

I've seen amazing sets of coincidences that you would not believe happen to cause claims and people such as yourself who have never had a claim and swear blind they never will have a claim. Who have had a claim, accidents happen without notice if they did there would be no need for Insurance.

If you're playing the game as you are, you need to budget for the worst case scenario eg being stuck with the policy with no refund for cancelling if there is a claim
