Can you wait in Luton Airport on arrival
Hi Everyone,
I am going on holiday with my mother and my two children. I did not book the flights. We are travelling from Luton Airport. Our flight back arrives at 1.30 in the morning.
We have to get back to Lincolnshire and the cheapest train is about 6.25 in the morning, although the first train is about 4 am.
My question is are we able to sit in Luton airport and then catch the bus to Luton Airport Parkway? Or will airport security ask us to leave? If we get the bus to the Luton Parkway train station is there somewhere to sit on the station (inside). Thank you for your response in advance.

Yes you can wait until you have to leave."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

Of course you can stay at the airport and I believe there are some places to get a coffee etc open 24hrs, I think the only people that security are likely to kick out are those that obviously have no business to be there ie down and outs coming in just for a roof over their head and use of facilities.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

Make sure you see "The Terminal" with Tom Hanks. He plays a character based on a real person who lived at an airport for 10 years.
You will be fine waiting at Luton for a few hours. Have a good holiday!0 -

Saw an episode of one of the many TV docs on Airports where sucurity staff and police were constantly on the look out for vagrants at night, I think it was Heathrow though, which closes down for a few hours as there are restrictions on night flights, as far as I know, Luton is 24hr and there are some facilities open 24hrs, so I would doubt a family/couple with luggage etc would be even given a second glance.
Any how, the flight lands at 01:30am, by the time you get your bags it could be 02:00 at least, by that time there will be plenty of people in the airport as check ins will be opening for 06:00am flights usually about 02:30 as far as security will be concerned you are just another passenger.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

I remember while waiting for someone at London City Airport, someone was sitting with his laptop, inside the terminal, when three armed police came over to him and appeared to ask him to leave.
I can only guess that he was only there to use the free wi-fi, and it did appear he had no business at the airport, as it didn't look like he was travelling - however he was wearing a tracksuit, with a hooded top and trainers, and since London City Airport caters for business travellers (you'll find most passengers using the airport are wearing suits/smartly dressed), he did look out of place.0 -
Thanks everyone, I thought we should be able to, but I didn't know if everything had changed with all the security measures and they would want us out of the airport.0
