I had a similar problem with my laptop a few weeks ago. Except for me it was the top row of keys except t and y. They said I'd spilt omething on it, even though I know I hadn't, and I had to get a new keyboard.

If it's a desktop then you can get new keyboards quite cheaply. Or you could try plugging your keyboard into a different computer to see if it works then.

Also, if you;ve got windows XP, ME and possibly 2000, it some with a built in on screen keyboard, which will help in the meantime. Go to start -> programs -> accessories -> accessibility -> on screen keyboard

It probably a damaged membrain, as the space is probably one of the most frequently used keys, just buy a new one if you want a basic one they are dirt cheap most puters take ps2 (nothing to do with playstation) type conections or you could go for a wireless one with loads of buttons you'll never use if you really wanted to splash out lol.

You can get new keyboards for less than a fiver. Don't be tempted to take apart these cheap (membrane-type) keyboards if they develop a fault - you won't get them to work properly again!

Please note - this will not work with Win95, Win98, WinME or NT4.
