DH dispatched to play cricket - 3rd day in a row - he won't be able to walk tomorrow!

Why is it most Bank Holidays are in the cricket season? So much for family time! Off to hang some more washing out - before it rains. Then to dose DD2 with Calpol again - her throat is still bad - off to GP tomorrow - AGAIN!

Babies fed, dressed, destinked and watered.. in fact I am surprised Squeak hasn't drowned she has drank a litre and a half of juice in the last 2 hours!

Dot has been sick about 3 times so far.. she is really snotty I am just hoping it isn't Samuel WC .. it has been just over 3 weeks since Squeaks birthday!! She has had an awful cough for a fortnight.

I am starting to feel quite unwell.. best go do something before I spend the next 2 days limp and leafy :p

    Hi all :)
I'm back in if that's ok - sorry got on here once I think last week but did get some things done :)
I will do what I can from list after work this evening but for today I have to concentrate on:

    Dishes
    Cook dinner
    Bake a cake

It doesn't sound a lot but I'm leaving for work in just over 3 hours and also need to get ready - oh yes, also have to wash clothes for work
Right best crack on, may catch you later :)
Hugs to all who want/need them x
    Jenny
Everything happens for a reason :)
  • Thank you, all you lovely flyladies who have sent me nice wishes after my fall. It is really heart-warming. Thankfully, I am not too bad at all, a bit bruised and limping, but am fine. Am off to work in a bit, and will do sit-downy things with them. We are doing artwork today and making multi-coloured birds to hang up in the lounge!

Dusty, I've probably missed you, but have a great time in Blackpool. You can wave at me near Preston, if you can see me through the torrential rain! It's awful up here!

Jaybee; we've had our appliances approx 11 - 12 years now, and had the washer repaired 3 times (the thing that spins the drum each time) and the tumble dryer and dishwasher once (both the thermostats had gone). We are going to have our regular repair guy out on Wed to see if he can do anything, and will then know what is what and may have to search out some new items.

Flying, I've washed up, cleaned the kitchen, dusted a bit (dust from loft!) and cut out the birds for work! OH is just getting some toast and honey for me, then off I go!

Thank you again for your good wishes and I return them to anyone feeling poorly or low. R x :)
  • off to go visit some family members. will finish off flying when i am back, catch up with you all later xxxx

Well I have just finished cleaning the fridge and have managed to take all the compartments out of the door but can't manage to put them all back. Hoping DHwill manage it when he wakes up (on nightshift). Never mind what parts that are back together are sparkling.

*Waddles in and flops on the sofa*:D
Been kitchen-flying before logging in; Mr LW has kindly done all the high surfaces (tops of cupboards style of thing) that are a pain to get to even with the step-stool.:A

Rowan tree sitty-downy tasks for you, methinks.:o Falls can really shake you up (I should know - I'm a veteran at them).

'Nuvver one with a BD here.:( It has no business being here - Mr LW's being ever so helpful, and I have lovely Terrier Ted here - but noooo, the BD has to butt in.:( I think as much as anything, it's because I'm not sleeping - I'm invariably too hot at night, the tinnitus drives me up the wall, as does the pain in my dratted shoulder, which is still hurting like bu88ery, Mr LW snores fit to wake the dead, and to top it all, when I do finally drop off, some time around 04:00, I get nightmares.:(

OK, moan over - I guess I just needed to get it out of my system.:o (Does it count as decluttering?):D

Dins next, methinks - HM nut loaf, spuds and carrots and Marmite gravy.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I wondered why there were 3 days lists, hope you have a fab time although weather forecast isnt good :(.

I seem to be flitting from one room to another this morning and have got WM and TD on today, no hope of getting anything dry with the rain forecast I'm not going to even chance it. AT least with the amount of nagging I did Dd has walked the dog while they had chance and DS has done the DW. It now seems that the rest of the household appears to be suffering from Idleness and Apathy  so I guess I'll continue on my own as no point fighting them.

Big hugs for Lamewolf and Pigpen and anyone else who needs them, I'm away to do some more bits n pieces
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Hello  We are back! We got back Saturday morning from Florida. Spent most of Saturday in the twilight zone. managed to do a food shop and walk the dog. DH wasn't well on Friday (in Florida) and when we got back - probably too much sun on Thursday :o I think we left just in time, as they seem to be battoning down the hatches in readiness for Hurricane Isaac when we left  Lots of fantastic storms while we were there, and it was very hot. We were in a house (booked a 3 bedroom, and they gave us a 6 bed!!! That is 12 beds, for 4 of us!!! And DD2 still ended up sharing a room with DS :rotfl:) I did all the washing before we came home so that was good :D

Yesterday we had family round for a BBQ to celebrate DS's birthday (which was while we were away). Managed to get a few jobs done before they arrived (after sleeping 'til 11.30 :o) I shined the sink, chucked away the dead plants from the kitchen (DD1 doesn't seem to notice dying plants!) and wiped down the work surfaces. Dog was walked after everyone went home.

OK - so I am back in this week. Thanks Dusty for the lists, and have a good break :)

I need to get back on the wagon, but paperwork and work needs to take priority I think. I haven't even started last years accounts!! I am not 'back at work' until Wednesday, so no excuses. DH will be working from home over the next week or so, so he may set himself up in the summerhouse (DS has been his shadow for the last couple of weeks!) to keep out of our way. I will attempt the lists, and my own frog list.

    FROG LIST:

    1. Complete one section of SEF
    2. Do one hour of my accounts
    3. Do an hour on each Learning Journey (4 to do)
    4. Sort out rest of photos for printing
    5. Back up laptop to hard drive
    6. Look at new childminder paperwork from Maureen
    7. Finish unpacking/putting away
    8. Clear DR table
    9. Cut grass
    10. Catch up on emails/post
    11. Get DS school shoes & PE shirt

Dog has been walked already today. Going to do myself a quick lunch, and we are having a roast later. You can't get decent food in Florida! Like proper gravy ;)

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them. I haven't caught up on the thread from the last couple of weeks, so i hope everyone is ok.
