    Evening all

I'm disgusted with myself as I've achieved so little last week. Got to pick myself up and start again, so thank you for the thread, dusty.

I spent over 5 hours on a massive grocery shopping trip today - starting with factory foods and moving on to costco, makro, lidl, aldi and curry's (for hoover bags). I even stopped at the freezer shop in our little town as I drove through. Stocked up what had run out and dropped on some good bargains, too.

Looks like this could be a monthly occurance, to make best use of time and petrol. A weekly top-up of fresh stuff should now be enough - at lidl when the offers are good and locally when they're not.

Did lots of washing yesterday and a few other dailies, but I'm just not sticking with anything for long enough. I may have to keep an eye on this, as I'm concerned about links between AF and BD. Pleased with something today, though - I've exchanged some Mr T clubcard vouchers for double their value and ordered socks for DS2 and assorted undies for me to the exact amount. :D When I go to collect them I'll stock up on the cheap bubble bath to go in handwash bottles.

Does anyone know good times to go to Mr T for reduced goodies? Especially meat.

OK, I'll make a gentle start in the kitchen and see how far I get. I'm recording Inspector George Gently (which I won't watch while DS2 is still downstairs). List to follow.

I have been on Jojo's thread and reprted I have bagged up books to go to a CS - hardbacks - not worth the effort of listing on ebay looking at the titles; I won't read them again, I'm running out of shelves so they're going.
Mr T's - odd times really...best thing I got was the salmon - must've been a one off!

    this week

Valli - is it worth looking into cash for clothes (I believe they also take books and pay by weight)?

Thank you for the lists, Dustykitten. I'm in again this coming week, but flying will have to fit round some other things like a visit to my grandsons and an evening at the Olympic Park, as well as more mundane things like setting up a website.

I didn't do much flying last week, but the house still looks good and DH is getting better at putting things away - hooray!

I'm in this week. Thank you for the forward planning lists Dusty.

After losing my job I was forced out on Wednesday last week. I've drunk lots of wine and had a major victory with the council's refusal to the housing estate plan in the beautiful bluebell woods that edge my garden. All in all I'm alot better mentally than I could be. I have a job interview on Wednesday and an appointment at the job centre on Tuesday.

DH is going to clear the garage tomorrow. Rather him than me IFKWIM. I've been playing with the new WM. it's rather complicated and will take some time. I'm having a love affair with the new iron ;-)
