How long to hear from DLA?

Hi All,
My baby girl receives DLA and has done since March this year, I called them 4 weeks on Friday just gone ago with information regarding her condition which I thought they should be aware off, I still haven't heard anything? If the award stays the same, will they let me know or just keep paying the same without sending a letter?
When I applied I had payment in my account within 10 days of sending the form and all the paperwork within a fortnight so I'm use to them being quite speedy!!
Thanks.

It depends, it can be weeks.
As I understand it, if no decision is made on your case, there will be no letter.
A decision would only occur if there are grounds to believe that there may be reason to change the amount of benefit paid.
There is no other way to tell but to call them, and ask about the state of your claim, and if there is any ongoing delayed decision.0 -
Thanks very much.
She is currently on HRC due to being on oxygen 24 hours a day and having a heart condition. The Doctor has asked us to try her off her oxygen for 2 hours a day, so I thought I should let them know. The lady on the phone said she wasn't sure if her rate would be changed, think I will call them on Monday to see what's going on.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

I don't think those 2 hours should make any difference tbh. But still think it's wise to inform them. She's still on the oxygen for 22 hours a day.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

its often worth waiting a while to see if any change is likely to be permanent before notifying them of slight changes0
