Children on trains

Hi Everyone.
I was hoping you could put my mind at rest!!!
I have booked a train ticket for my OH next week from Plymouth to Reading.
I booked the ticket online, and received it within 3 days of paying. But when i was booking it asked how many adults, so i put 1 (one) and it asked how many children (Aged 5 -15), my other half is taking our son with her but he is 3. There was no option for under 5's in the booking process.
Do under 5's travel for free on the railways or are we going to get stung for another ticket when i drop them to the station next week?
Thanks in advance
Mark

Under 5's do travel free so enjoy ! we've been all over the place with ours as they love the experience. I've been known to sit on a platform with my 4 year old just to watch the trains  :whistle:0

With small kids the train is the only way to fly. Typing from nr. Cannes having taken the TGV down here. No need to pay for the 6mnth and 2yr old.
Bon courage!0 -
if you have reserved a seat for your OH then bear in mind that the surrounding seats may also be reserved and therefore your children will have no-where to sit0
