It varies. I also live in a new build estate in west Sussex, and the prices haven't dropped at all, no more than any other second hand house. It all depends on location, because if the new build is in a desirable location it won't lose value any more than a 20 year old house.But if there are still new build houses on the same development being sold when you want to sell, that is when you will lose cash as you will have to price a fair bit below otherwise people will go brand new.0
