Getting a bit confused over JSA INCOME Based

Just wanted to clarify something. If my daughter is applyng for JSA where does her partner figure into the equation. He's working.
I read something about Income Based JSA, the application is made as a couple and both need to satisfy the rules of entitlement, but if he's working does that mean, she wouldn't be entitled?

You are if you have paid enough NI contributions entitled to six months contribution based. If you aren't entitled or have used up this entitlment then you can only get income based. As you say this is worked on household income and savings so as presumably he earns more than the couples amount of £111 she won't be eligible. However she can still sign on and get credited with her NI contributions towards her future state pension.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Thanks for that. I'll have to add to her stress with this news. How would she find out if she's entitled to jsa(c)? Would the Job Centre have told her there and then she wouldn't qualify.
She actually did the application on the phone and gave all her details, partner etc. Surely the person filling the application in would know she isn't going to be entitled. As it is they asked her to come in last Thursday with all her supporting evidence and have asked her to sign on next Wednesday?0 -

If she's been working and paying NI contributions for the at least the last two relevant years then she will be eligible. They are presently working on 2009/2010 and 2010/2011.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

The Job Centre will automatically check to see if she is entitled to contribution based JSA. This probably couldn't be done whilst she was on the phone.
If she isn't entitled to it then she will be assessed for income based.
If she isn't eligible for either then, as someone has already said, she can still sign on to collect her NI contributions and receive 'help' as regards finding a job.0 -
