I am helping out a friend with MBNA who I understand from this forum are a bit tricky.
We've found that they will not respond to letters that my friend has sent resulting in some vey heated conversations with them and will only discuss things on the phone.Has anyone else experienced that??
We discussed it and at the very least we thought it was disgusting customer seervice but could it also be classed as a contravention of the DDA?
We're going after them for charges but have we missed the boat for that and also they have a nasty habit of altering the pay by date on their statements:mad:
Any help appreciated.

Can sssure you MBNA do not move the pay dates, most CCs differ each month, depending on the date the statement was produced (nearly always the same date) and the number of days in the month.
You can still put in claims for charges, but they are a little slow at present, they have quite a backlog, but are responding and just within timescales.
You are better dealing by letter (and dont give in, they WILL settle for full amount)0
