Hi Techies!
I'm looking for iPad apps to help me set up and run a small part time craft business. I'm on a budget and intend to sell online, in the office, to friends, etc.
Will you please suggest apps (preferably free!) I can use for the following:

Will you please suggest apps (preferably free!) I can use for the following:
- Produce short presentations/brochures with photos of my products to carry out some basic market research and also to show to clients.
- Organising design ideas (eg photos, colour schemes, etc).
- Project management

I would tactfully suggest that you need a computer for these tasks not a toy. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Definitely a computer is better suited to those requirements.0

I'm not sure what you to are replying to as your replies don't seem relevant to what the OP is asking. The OP asking specifically for the name of some apps to do the things they stated. As they are asking for iPad apps then its safe to say they have an iPad and want to use it, they don't need 'advice' telling them to use a pc instead! The fact penrhyn calls an iPad a 'toy' speaks volumes.
I PM'ed the OP as this could into one of those threads where their are numerous replies but none of which are an actual answer.0 -

The Apple equivalent to PowerPoint, called Keynote, will do this. It's not free, but you'll find it under the business or productivity category in the app store?
To those who suggest a 'real PC' for carrying out all the tasks in the list; I use an iPad 'in the field' for showing PDFs and other docs. It's far easier to hand this back and forward to a person than a laptop or net book. A presentation to a room is a different matter and calls for different gear. I think the OP may be served by different kit for different items on the list, rather than a 'one machine fits all' approach....0 -
Why do you specifically want an App? There's some very cost-effective, easy-to-set-up eCommerce software designed precisely for your type of business, see create.net (£9.99 per month). There's the website taken care of.
For any money stuff, i'd recommend googling 'Kashflow'. Worth its weight in gold if you ever intend your biz to take off (obviously stick to excel spreadsheets or something if you've got a really really low volume of transactions as you won't justify the monthly cost for Kashflow.
For marketing/design ideas - get a Pinterest account (pinterest.com) - like a huge swatch meets social media, and for free marketing get on Facebook and Twitter. All free except for your time.
Good luck!0 -
Many thanks for your replies so far.
I'll definitely investigate the apps and services you mentioned.
Please keep those suggestions coming!

Sounds a bit like a badly constructed homework question0

But I bet you don't do your accounts and all your business admin on one.0
