Laptop extened warranty

My laptop is coming to the end of its one year warranty and i would like to purchase an extendend warranty.
please can you help and advise me.

Personally I don't buy any extended warranties I feel they are just a waste of money. I feel that the money saved is like a self insurance and it will easily pay for any repairs or replacements needed.0

If you do decide to go ahead and purchase an extended warranty, have a look at the website for your laptop manufacturer.
I've recently purchased a new computer (Toshiba) and the retailer tried to sell me an extended warranty (even though the laptop I purchased has a 3 year manufacturers warranty on it).
The one the retailer offered would have cost £89 for a 2nd year of cover and out of curiosity I checked the Toshiba website.
Getting 2nd year cover through them would only be £39.
Extending the original warranty can often be done any time in the first year.0 -
