Had a quick look at Insurance2Go - it's £6 ish a month for a £900 laptop. It also says that there's no contract so you can cancel at any time. If it's stolen then they will either replace with the same make/model or equivalent spec if no longer available. It also covers accidental damage, fire damage, family cover etc.
  • Thanks so much for taking the time to post, SuperHan! I really appreciate it. That's just what I'm looking for. :0)

I'm off to check it out. :0)

    All the best

Insureandgo is not that great a cover.

Do you have the original purchase receipt ? Without this they won't pay out.

Also bear in mind their replacement cover would be as per the "New for Old" I explained earlier so a 3 year older computer would probably be replaced with a model valued at between £250 and £450 depending on the specs of your lap top.

Read and understand the policy wording before you commit so you understand what your covered for and what your not
  • Thanks Dacouch.

I do have the receipt, yes. And thanks for the heads up - it looks like I have some bedtime reading to do...

    All the best

On a slightly different tack, I would strongly recommend backing up your data before heading off, as it would be a shame if something untoward did happen to it.

You could get a USB hard disk and copy your files to it.
  • Thanks Prowla! :)
