We are due to move house this Friday so have been notifying organisations. I have registered with helpiammoving as they are meant to handle the change of address notifications for the companies that you have dealings with.
Has anybody used this method? Was it all ok and accurate?
Thanks

Iammoving only tell THEIR partnered organisations. If the orgs you need to tell aren't partnered with them, they don't get told. see previous thread -

don't forget to get a Royal Mail redirection for 6 or 12 months to Hoover up any that you missed.0 -
Iammoving are awful - they harvest your contact details and then sell them off to whoever they can. I got so much spam and junk mail last time I made the mistake of giving them my details - and they didn't even notify the companies they were supposed to, it was a complete waste of time.
Just set up the royal mail redirection, it's not expensive, then if you forget to notify any companies then you can do it when you get the redirected mailpoppy100 -
Wow so glad I asked!! Thanks or the advice. Will just do orgs direct then. Already sorted the six month redirection so hopefully all will be ok. Thanks again.0

Every time I moved, I did it myself. I wouldn't trust anyone to do it properly for me on my behalf.
And as others have said, it is best to have your mail redirected for at least 6 months, as we always forget to update someone :rotfl:0 -
I used helpIammoving for advice and checklists but not redirection. I made a list of everyone to contact, contacted them all, and then as mentioned elsewhere, got a Royal Mail redirect.
Some government stuff doesn't allow redirection - such as tax credit paperwork - so make sure you get the important stuff done first. Here's the specific para from the Royal Mail website:
Any mail where laws prohibit us to redirect mail, for example we may be instructed by law to notify the authorities of Redirection requests for mail relating to government benefits.

I personally would get a redirection for a year or more as you'd be amazed at who you forget to inform and some things are only sent to you once a year.Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0
