  • Forgot to add that another thing that helped to take the sting out of not spending anymore was reading the thread on using up things you have. makes you realise how much waste there is in the spending. i also have started sorting out a box or bag from loft/cupboard every couple of weeks which is a bit like the experience i had while spending as you rediscover things you forgot and it gives you a similar 'high'. sell the stuff you arent bothered about keeping. also allow yourself some spending - someone on here recommended a 'treat fund' to me and it really works. a guilt free pot of money to blow on useless stuff if you want. but ive found working out what % it is of my monthly fund makes me reconsider whether i really want it...

  • Hi bm, there are a few , others will be able to link poss but cant work out how on my phone. theres the toiletries challenge, one for clothes, books, storecupboard food etc. i think if you search 'list of challenges' it will bring up the thread linking to all of the challenges and you can follow the links to the ones you fancy. think most of them will be on old style board?
