Ok! first of all try printing a different document, maybe something you have previously printed with that printer just to eliminate the unlikely case that it is a problem with the format of the document your trying to print.

If you still have the Install for the printer then try completely uninstalling it and reinstalling it again, sometimes a fresh install can eliminate funny behaviour.

Ive heard of inkjet printers registering a wrong ink level (happened to a HP printer we had at work) due to either hardware fault in printer or a dodgy sensor in the ink cartridge so do you have any way of checking in the printer setup what level of ink it thinks it has?

Check that the paper is sitting correctly, try removing all but one sheet of paper and print a test page (if you can).

Does your printer have a display screen on it (sorry i'm unfamiliar with the exact model so this might be irrelevant), if so check this display for error messages when trying to print, it might give more meaningful info that the general pc message.

If you type the exact error message in here maybe we can look it up online and come up with some better clues :-)

MickMack....thanks for your tips and to everyone else as well. Well after trying endlessly I resinstalled it and now it's working fine. Really not sure what the problem was. The printer does have a display and it says Normal 100% on it.

    Cheers all.
