Glasto tickets all sold out

Sorry I just want to shout and scream and thought I would do the least amount of damage if I did it on the pc rather than out loud..... Glastonbury tickets went on sale today at 9am and all sold out online and phone in less than four hours ... Hubby was on the phone constantly trying to get through and I was trying online....AND I DIDN'T GET ANY!!!!

Aw Tilly that's a shame.

I was reading over on R points about the people that were also trying to get through, it seems that some were lucky and some like you will be going without.

we managed to get through 3 times for 6 tickets. We needed 8.

And there was 14 of us trying on phone and online....

There is some suggestion on chat boards that it might be worth trying again in a while in case there are returned tickets.

With the requirement for a photo id, either a driving license or citizens card only, there may be people who cannot or will not provide these and who will return their tickets to the promoters.

I don't know even if it is possible for people to return their tickets, but it might be a worth a try.

I only managed to get on the Glasto message boards in the very early hours of this morning (when all sane people had gone to bed), and can't get back on there at all now. I know there is little or no chance of getting tickets now, because even if some do become available, there are still so many people that want them. But I haven't given up yet and keep phoning the ticket line on the off chance that the message may be a positive one
I've got a blinding headache through lack of sleep and staring at the screen... the house is a mess and I haven't had a shower since 6am yesterday (but that's good training just in case I make it to Glasto lol)

I think the mistake I made was just relying on hubby and myself to try getting the golden tickets.... I should have recruited all my friends, family and other animals to help

yep- no luck for me the missus or the rest of us that wanted to go so well peeved- ironically got them easier last year in all the fiasco that happened then

3 phones and a broadband connection this yr and nae luck and yet loadsa folks got on many times from other PC's- so figers crossed for resales

i would keep your eyes on festival websites for when resales are out- as generally not announced

Yep, valid photo id from a recognised list, none of which can be run up on the computer is needed to get in. If the photo Id and name on the ticket don't match you don't get in.

As desperate as I am to get two tickets, I wouldn't take the ebay route. I think the ticket system is so strict this year it's water tight. And although that most likely means I wont be able to go (as much as this pains me to say) I would rather it be this way than let ebayers get rich on other peoples (mine) desperation to go to the best festival in the world..... ooohhh sob sob I'm feeling sorry for myself now
