We switched via Energyhelpline from BG to EDF last May with a promise of £50 cashback 90 days after the switch, despite chasing them up we'e still waiting for the cash.
Anyone else with similar problemo?

  • Same thing here.
Switched via energy helpline (and got email confirmation) on the 22 May 2012, but no cashback or anything.
    I will chase next week.
I remember that the cashback was more than the other providers, but I haven't got any confirmation of the amount. Do you have something that would assist? Thanks.

    w I get on).

The energyhelpline EDF (and others) offer was featured on MSE:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/utilities/2012/05/energyhelplinecom-launches-huge-switch

At the time I received an acknowledgement email confirming the switch which stated:

"Thank you for using energyhelpline.com to switch your Gas & Electricity. Based on the information you provided, we expect your savings over the next year to be £XX (Y%) and £50 cashback (cashback will be paid 90 days after your switch has gone live).
If the tariff you applied for through Huge Switch offers cashback then please note that in order to pay this we require confirmation from EDF Energy that your switch has gone live. This is something that we get as part of our accounts process.

Your cashback will typically be paid within 90 days of your switch going live with the new supplier. In exceptional circumstances, sometimes cashbacks take a little longer to pay due to issues getting reporting back from suppliers. This will be credited to your bank account via BACS transfer in the name of Fundraising Innovations Limited."
