Argos Ebay Outlet - Refund Experiences?

I bought a "refurbushed" flat screen TV from Argos' Ebay Outlet which was found to be faulty as soon as I switched it on.

I called and the helpful lady I spoke to arranged for it to be collected and said that I'd be getting a refund as soon as they received it.

Has anyone else had experience of returning an item to Argos Ebay Outlet? I'm wondering how long I should expect to wait for a refund.

My preference would have been to have the TV replaced with a working one - I'd bought this as our old TV had broken down and am waiting for the refund so I can buy another (my kids were so disappointed that we had to send it back as we literally don't have a TV in the house now).

I'm a little concerned after checking the feedback for Argos on Ebay - so many complaining that their purchases had been "lost" by the carrier and the like! Also it really seems the TV had not been checked before being sent out - the screen has very obvious faults with colour and a band across which anyone would notice as soon as it it switched on!

It was delivered by Yodel (surprisingly no problems there) but returned via CityLink who didn't ask for a signature nor passed on a tracking number - I had to ask for a handwritten receipt.

Admittedly it's only been four days since I returned the TV, just hoping for a refund ASAP so we can order another.

The OP didn't say that they were having a problem, they simply came on here to explain what happened and to ask is anyone else had been in the same situation as them so that they had an idea of what to expect.

Thanks for that Transient, I'll give it a week and call again if the refund hasn't been made before.

Just feeling impatient as we can't afford another until the refund goes through!

Citylink lost my first Amazon Prime order recently. The last tracking info showed it had "arrived at collection depot" and then nothing else. Amazon were quite quick to refund, about a week after it should have been delivered. Hope Argos is similar for you if it all goes awry.
